High Solids Rubber Anti-Tack Compound
RUBBER-DIP is the only true environmentally safe replacement for zinc stearate-based slab dips. Unlike current magnesium and calcium-based products, RUBBER-DIP will actually melt and behave like a zinc stearate-based dip.
RUBBER-DIP is a high solids mixture of organically modified soaps. This zinc-free product is supplied as an easy to disperse slurry.
RUBBER-DIP imparts a uniform, non-dusting, non-greasy, waterproof anti-tack coating on a wide variety of stocks including cold flowing soft natural rubber and butyl compounds. The product’s visibly uniform anti-tack coating will not foul molds or discolor molded parts. The anti-tack coating will disperse in elastomers with cure temperatures as low as 120°C.
RUBBER-DIP has an average use level of 2 to 5% active solids by weight. The product has not demonstrated any adverse effect on elastomer flow or vulcanization properties.
RUBBER-DIP is designed for compounders who air-cool their stock after the dip has been applied.
The proper dilution and mixing of an anti-tack has a direct impact on the product's performance. RubiChem offers an automatic dilution system that monitors and maintains the process tank's active solids level. Contact RubiChem or your Sales Representative for additional information.
RUBBER-DIP is packaged in non-returnable 55 gallon drums and 275 gallon tote bins. Net weight per drum is 430 pounds (195.05 kg). Net weight per tote bin is 2,000 pounds (907.18 kg).
RubiChem recommends using the product within one year of purchase. Store in a cool dry area. Mix well before using. As with all water-based compounds, protect against freezing. If frozen, thaw and mix until uniform.
